About Troop 473:
Scouts BSA Troop 473 was founded in 1981. We are proud of our affiliation with St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and of our nearly 90 boys who have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, Scouting’s highest honor.
We meet on Thursday evenings from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. On the second Thursday of each month, our Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) meeting takes place from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m., and on the third or fourth Thursday of each month, our Troop Committee meeting (for parents and adult leaders) is held during the same timeframe. All meetings are held in the school cafeteria.
Our activities include monthly campouts, summer camps at Scouting America reservations, and high-adventure summer camps in such places as the Florida Keys and the mountains of West Virginia.
