Our 2025-2026 OCIA season will begin
JUNE 29, 2025 for those 7 years of age or older who have NOT been Baptized&SEPTEMBER 7, 2025for those 16 years of age or older who HAVE been BaptizedFor those who have not been Baptized,
the following prerequisite classes apply:SUNDAY – June 29SUNDAY – July 27SUNDAY – August 24STARTING SEPTEMBER 7,
classes are held weekly on
Sundays from 9:30 to 11:30am
for EVERYONE who is seeking to receive the Sacraments of Initiation.
Classes go through the end of May.

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults – OCIA
(Formerly RCIA)
OCIA is a faith journey by which inquirers prepare to become Catholic or finish their initiation into the Catholic Church. The Sacraments of Initiation are Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion. OCIA is the process of discerning one’s readiness for this commitment.
The OCIA process is for:- Those who have never been baptized (Includes children aged 7 years and older who have never been baptized)
- Those who have been baptized in another Christian faith and seek to join the Catholic Church
- Those who have been baptized Catholic but have not received the remaining Sacraments of Initiation (First Holy Communion and Confirmation)
The OCIA process entails:- Deepening your knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ through Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and Prayer
- Attending Mass and learning about and participating in Catholic devotions and prayers
- Learning what the Catholic Church believes and teaches about God, the Church, and living as a Catholic
- Understanding the Creed and preparing to profess it
- Being a part of a parish community through praying together, attending parish events, and volunteering with fellow parishioners.
